Suriname has many possibilities to serve. Just to name a few:

• teach children classes
• support youth activities, such as workshops
• tutor study circles 
• expand and maintain the website
• help to produce a regular newsletter
• apply arts in deepening and teaching activities

Many of these activities can take place in and around Paramaribo. Special attention deserve the activities in the interior, specially in the many little villages along the Suriname River. From January till July 2001 two youth spent part of their year of service in this part of the country (see Service). 

In Bofrokoele, in the upper Suriname River area, is a Baha'i primary school. Of course school teachers can contribute here very much. But there is also a need to initiate and support other social economic activities in the field of health care, small enterprises and applying sustainable, small scale technology.
